The real format
Ohio publishes its test format. We use it.
- 40 questions
- pass at 30 of 40 (75 percent)
- retest: one day or 24 hours
- every answer cited
Official, published by the Ohio BMV. The BMV's own page states the format: 40 multiple-choice questions on motor vehicle regulations and traffic signs, 75 percent to pass. Unlike California, Ohio publishes these numbers officially, so no reported-counts caveat is needed here.2

Ohio's questions earned their place
We wrote more questions than we shipped. Two independent verification passes checked every question against the manual itself; anything unprovable was deleted, not patched.
Ohio is live. Its bank was written in our own words from the official Ohio Driver Manual, verified by two independent review passes that each pinned every question to its exact manual page, and audited before launch by a third independent pass that re-checked a seeded random sample page by page against the official PDF. Every answer shows its proof.
